The Catholic Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing that is administered by a priest to a baptized person whose health is failing, who is elderly, or who is to undergo a serious medical procedure.  It is a sacrament that assists those who are suffering with spiritual support, as well as the forgiveness of sins.
